Aliaksei Bahdzei, 21, is a Hrodna resident. He graduated from a music school and is a prize-winner in music competitions. Bahdzei entered Yanka Kupala State University of Hrodna where he studied mathematics and computer science.
Bahdzei was sentenced to six years of imprisonment in a medium-security penal colony for ‘preparing to organize mass riots’—publishing on the internet calls for the overthrow of the government, resistance to the police, and blocking roads—under Part 1 of Article 13 and Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code.
On June 14, 2022, the KGB put him on the list of terrorists.
