On November 10, 2022, the judge of the Central Court of Gomel, Siarhei Sakalouski, found Viktar Zihinau guilty under Part 1 of Art. 342 ('Organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them') of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to two years of imprisonment in a general regime colony.
