Two residents of Homieĺ, Uladzislau Yatsenka and Kiryl Plakushchau, were charged under Art. 341 ('Desecration of structures and damage to property') and part 2 of Art. 361-3 ('Participation on the territory of a foreign state in an armed formation or armed conflict, military operations, recruitment or training of persons for such participation').

The case was considered by Judge Mikalai Dolia.

The trial began on November 29, 2022 and lasted for a month and a half with adjournments. One of the men is 21 years old, and the other is 24 years old.

According to the case file, Uladzislau Yatsenka repeatedly posted publications on a social network calling for participation in the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment, Azov Battalion and other formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also donated 21 euros for the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment.

Besides, both of the men were accused of drawing cynical graffiti in Homieĺ. The court assessed the damage at BYN 130 (approx. USD 51).

On January 9, 2023, the Homieĺ Regional Court found Uladzislau Yatsenka guilty and sentenced him to five years of imprisonment in an enhanced security penal colony. The case was considered by Judge Mikalai Dolia.
