Statement on the status of a political prisoner
On March 10, 2022, Anatol Sashunou was detained for comments in “extremist chats” and was placed in a pre-trial detention center in Zhodzina until the trial.
On September 19, 2022, the trial began in Minsk Regional Court.
Anatol was convicted under three articles of the Criminal Code:

Article 130 of the Criminal Code - Incitement to hatred;

Article 368 of the Criminal Code - Insulting Lukashenka;

Art. 369 of the Criminal Code - Insulting a government official.
Judge Viktoryia Paliashchuk sentenced Anatol Sashunou to four years in a general-security penal colony.
On September 20, 2022, his name was included in the list of “Persons involved in terrorist activities.”
Anatol was included in the list of persons involved in extremist activities.
