Siarhei Yakubionak was found guilty of "insulting Lukashenka" (Article 368 of the Criminal Code) and "slandering Lukashenka" (Article 367 of the Criminal Code).

On March 22, 2024, he was added to the list of citizens of Belarus, foreign citizens and stateless persons involved in extremist activities.
