Ruslan Labanok is a former director of a Spain visa center in Minsk. He was convicted under Part 1 of Article 356 (High treason) and Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 431 (Giving a bribe; Giving a bribe repeatedly or on a large scale) of the Criminal Code of Belarus.
The Minsk City Court tried his case in November 2022, after which there was an adjournment in court. On March 6, 2023, Judge Anastasiya Papko handed down the verdict—11 years of imprisonment in a medium-security penal colony.
