Aliaksandr Zialiutkin is a masonry stove master. He was detained on December 7, 2021 in the framework of a criminal case on participation in mass riots (Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code).
He was transferred to a pre-trial detention center, charges were filed against him.
Human rights activists learned that in February 2022, the detention facility administration punished Zialiutkin with 10 days in solitary confinement. In protest, he went on a hunger strike for eight days. On the eighth day, the political prisoner was transferred to a regular cell.
On June 16, 2022, Aliaksandr was found guilty and sentenced to three and a half years in a medium-security penal colony.
