Raman Tsyhankou was detained on October 10, 2022. At first, the pro-government Telegram channels reported Roman and his girlfriend to have been detained for leaking law enforcement officials' data to the Black Book of Belarus Telegram channel. Roman was sentenced to 14 days of administrative imprisonment.
Later Tsyhankou was transferred to a pre-trial detention center and charged under a criminal case for participating in the protests.
