Mark Nevar was convicted by the Homieĺ Regional Court. His trial began on October 12, 2023. He was charged with participation in an extremist formation and promotion of extremist activities (Part 1 of Article 361-4 and Part 3 of Article 361-1 of the Criminal Code).
According to the case materials, the accused subscribed to Telegram channels in 2022 and actively participated in their activities through telegram bots. In particular, when he was on the territory of Homieĺ, he took photos and videos of the movement of military equipment. Then he sent such material with comments on the path of movement of the vehicles to Telegram channels through the bots, providing his activities. According to the court's decision, the information products of Telegram resources used by the defendant were recognized as extremist materials.
On November 8, 2023, Judge Siarhei Bahinski sentenced Nevar to imprisonment.
On January 19, 2024, he was added to the "list of extremists".
He is serving his sentence in penal colony No. 3.
