Anton Prudnikau was convicted under Part 1 of Article 342 (organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them), Article 364 (Violence or threat of violence against an employee of the internal affairs bodies) of the Criminal Code.
It is known that Anton was convicted for the photos of the protests, which he had on his mobile phone. However, he was not present at the protests. As well as for the episode of a fight with a policeman in the subway, where passengers prevented arresting and beating a man after the protest. Anton happened to be on the video.
Anton was sentenced to two years and six months in a penal colony by Minsk District Court on January 16, 2023.
On April 7, 2023 Anton was included in the list of Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens and stateless persons involved in extremist activities.
