Anatol Bahovik is a former executive director of Belarusbank, the largest state-owned bank in Belarus. He and his wife, Ivanna Bahovik, were arrested for participating in the 2020 peaceful protests and charged under Part 1 of Article 342 of the Criminal Code ('Organization and preparation of actions grossly disrupting public order or active participation in them').

Judge Alena Zhyvitsa is to hear the case.

In the fall of 2017, Anatol Bahovik was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment for alleged corruption, but a few years later he was released through amnesty.

The Bahoviks have two dependent children.
