Aliaksandr Kulikou was detained immediately after returning from abroad. Kulikou was accused of insulting Aliaksandr Lukashenka (Part 2 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code) and slandering him (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code).
On July 13, 2023, Leninsky District Court of Mahileu found Kulikou guilty. Judge Natallia Panasenka sentenced him to three years in a general-security penal colony.
He is now in the pre-trial detention center of Mahileu (prison No. 4).
