Aleh Yermakovich was detained in May 2023 on an administrative case for "distribution, production, storage, transportation of information products with calls to extremist activities or propaganda for such activities".
After the administrative punishment, Aleh was not released, as a criminal case was opened against him under four articles of the Criminal Code: Article 368 of the Criminal Code (insulting Lukashenka), Article 369 of the Criminal Code (insulting a government official), Article 130 of the Criminal Code (incitement to hatred), Article 342 of the Criminal Code (organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them).
