Volha Ivanchanka is from Mahilioŭ. She has an autistic spectrum disorder. After her arrest, she was kept at the Navinki mental hospital (National Scientific and Practical Center for Mental Health in the Navinki micro-district in Minsk) for about a month.
According to the case file, Volha Ivanchanka posted "a text with an image that contains false fiction shaming Aliaksandr Lukashenka, humiliating his honor and dignity, aiming to undermine his authority and form his negative image" on her page in the Odnoklassniki social network. Besides, she posted "comments with a negative assessment of him, containing profanity" under a post with an image of Aliaksandr Lukashenka.
On March 21, 2023, Volha Ivanchanka was found guilty under Article 367 ('Slander against the President of Belarus') and Article 368 ('Contempt of the President of Belarus') of the Criminal Code and sentenced to 24 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
