On May 10, 2023, the Homieĺ Regional Court, in a closed court session, convicted Viktar Yaromenka of 'inciting other social hatred or enmity' under Part 1 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code, and of other crimes.

The trial began on April 21, 2023, and was led by Judge Ruslan Tsaruk. The circumstances of the case, apart from the verdict, are still unknown to human rights defenders.
