Uladzimir Tychynski, an entrepreneur from Mahilioŭ, was arrested on May 31, 2023, and his place of residence was searched. The regional state-owned TV channel described Tychynski as "a supporter of Ukrainian Nazi formations" who "was driving his car with Ukrainian nationalist symbols in it". The latter refers to the official flag of Ukraine.
As a result, criminal proceedings were started against Uladzimir Tychynski under Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code ('Assistance to extremist activities'). He is accused of filming the movement of the Russian military Z-vehicles on his mobile phone in April 2022 and sending the video to a media outlet deemed "extremist" by the authorities.
Tychynski was placed in a pre-trial detention center.
