Stanislau Shapel was presented as an agent of the Ukrainian special services - it is said that the man recorded a video that he was "ready to work against the FSB and Putin". He is currently serving a sentence for fraud (Part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code).
He was convicted in a closed session under Part 1 of Article 356 of the Criminal Code (high treason). On July 29-31, 2024, the case was considered by Judge Pavel Klimau.
