Siarhei Rudziankou was convicted under Part 1 of Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code (promoting extremist activity), Part 1 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code (inciting racial, national, religious or other social enmity), Part 2 of Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code (promoting extremist activity), Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code (insulting Lukashenka), Article 369 of the Criminal Code (insulting a government official). From June 20 to July 11, 2023, the case was considered in closed session by Judge Ruslan Tsaruk at the Homieĺ Regional Court.
On October 3, 2023, Judge Aliaksandr Sauchuk considered the appeal against the verdict at the Supreme Court, also in closed session.
On October 13, 2023, Rudziankou was added to the list of Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens and stateless persons involved in extremist activities.
On November 3, 2023, Rudziankou was included in the "list of extremists" by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
