Raman Bahryi was detained together with his partner, political prisoner Viktoryia Zhdanovich, on August 3, 2022. He was first sentenced to 12 days of administrative detention, then detained in a criminal case for ‘group actions that grossly violate the public order’ (Article 342 of the Criminal Code).

He was placed in pre-trial detention center.

On October 26, 2022, Bahryi was found guilty and sentenced to two and a half years of restricted freedom under home confinement.
