Maksim Senik is a member of the independent trade union at Hrodna Azot (a major state-run Belarusian producer of nitrogen compounds and fertilizers).
He was arrested in Hrodna for participating in the protest actions in 2020 and for reposting on social networks. He is kept in the pre-trial detention center of the Hrodna prison.
