Aleh Zubovich was a convict in the Black Book of Belarus case. He was charged under Part 6 of Article 16 ('Complicity in crime'), Part 3 of Article 130 ('Incitement to hatred'), Part 3 of Article 203-1 ('Unlawful actions with privacy information'), and Part 1 of Article 179 ('Illegal collection or dissemination of privacy information') of the Criminal Code of Belarus.
On December 29, 2022, in the Mahilioŭ Regional Court, Judge Dzmitryi Krenzhyeuski sentenced Aleh Zubovich to six years of imprisonment in a medium-security penal colony.
Aleh Zubovich worked as a precinct police officer until October 2019. At the time of his arrest, he was working as a security guard. He is reported to have been severely beaten during the arrest.
On April 14, 2023, Aleh Zubovich was included in the 'List of Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens, and stateless persons involved in extremist activities'.
He was also included in the 'List of persons involved in terrorist activities'.
Aleh Zubovich is serving his sentence in penal colony #3 in Vićba, Viciebsk region.
