Yury Bialko was detained in the fall of 2020 in connection with the case of participation in mass riots.
He was subsequently charged under Art. 293 of the Criminal Code, "mass riots".
First, Yury Bialko was placed in the detention center in Akrescin Street, then transferred to pre-trial detention center No. 1, and eventually to the pre-trial detention center in Žodzina.
On July 19, 2021, Judge Dzmitry Astapenka sentenced Bialko to nine years in a medium-security penal colony.
In the middle of May 2022, human rights defenders learned that the administration of Žodzina prison had placed Bialko in a punishment cell for the second time. During the last five months Yury was put in the punishment cell five times, and for the last two months he was kept in the worrd-type cell.
