Aliaksandr Rumko was charged with slandering Lukashenka (Part 2 of Article 367), rehabilitating Nazism (Part 1 of Article 130-1), and 'inciting other social hatred or enmity' (Part 1 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code).

On March 14, 2023, the Homieĺ Regional Court, behind closed doors, sentenced Rumko to three years and six months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony. The trial began on March 9, 2023. Judge Anatol Sotnikau tried the case.

The court ruled to confiscate Rumko's cell phone as a means of committing the crime.
