Iosif (Yazep) Duleba was detained on May 7, 2024. He was initially sentenced to 15 days for subscribing to "extremist information resources" on social networks. He was then transferred to a pre-trial detention center.
On May 3, 2024, the State Security Committee of Belarus added a number of media resources of the FreeInfoBel project to the list of "extremist formations." The KGB identified specific individuals believed to be associated with the project, including Volha Pashkevich and Iosif Duleba. It seems probable that Duleba's criminal case is connected to the accusation that he is involved in extremist activities.
