Hanna Kavaliova was arrested on January 17, 2023. She was charged for participating in the 2020 protests under Article 342 of the Criminal Code (Active participation in actions grossly disrupting public order).
Her partner Ivan Marozau was detained two weeks earlier.
The trial of the political prisoners took place on April 28, 2023, in the Pieršamajski District Court of Minsk. Judge Maksim Trusevich found them guilty and sentenced them to 18 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
