Andrei Burak was initially charged with hooliganism (Part 3 of Article 339 of the Criminal Code) and creation of an extremist formation or participation in it (Part 3 of Article 361-1 of the Criminal Code).
On February 29, 2024, Burak was found guilty and sentenced to five years' imprisonment under Part 3 of Article 361-1 of the Criminal Code. The charge of hooliganism was dropped. The trial began on February 15, and the case was considered by Judge Yauhen Khatkevich.
