Aliaksandr Bliznets worked as an engineer in one of the municipal enterprises. He was convicted in a closed session of the Homieĺ Regional Court under Article 369 (Insulting a government official), Part 1 of Article 342 (Organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them), Part 1 of Article 368 (Insulting Lukashenka) and Part 1 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code (Incitement of racial, national, religious or other social enmity or discord).
