Anatol Liavonik was tried for the publications in his profile in the OK (Odnoklassniki) Russian social network that allegedly contained "derogatory information" about Lukashenka. According to the prosecution's position, the goal of those posts was to publicly harm the authority of the state government and to spread "premeditatedly false" information that insulted Lukashenka.
It is known that Anatol Liavonik has two children.
On December 13, 2022, in the Kastryčnicki District Court of Hrodna, Judge Dzmitryi Kedal found Liavonik guilty under Part 2 of Art. 368 ('Insulting the president of Belarus') and Part 2 of Art. 367 ('Defamation against the president of Belarus') of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 24 months of imprisonment in a general-regime penal colony.
