Aliaksandr Sysoyeu was detained on July 5, 2023.
He was accused of transferring $12.91 from a Belarusian card to the Kalinoŭski Regiment. The state prosecution classified it as Part 2 of Article 361-3 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the financing of citizens of the Republic of Belarus to participate in the territory of a foreign state in an armed formation of one of the opposing parties, in armed conflicts or military actions.
On February 14, 2024, Judge Ruslana Sianko sentenced Sysoyeu to five years in a medium-security penal colony.
On March 1, 2024, the Ministry of Internal Affairs added him to the list of extremists.
