Alena Mokharava was sentenced to imprisonment by the Homel Regional Court under Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code (promoting extremist activities) and Part 1 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code (incitement to racial, national, religious or other social enmity or discord). On September 6 and 10, 2024, the case was considered in closed session by Judge Alesia Osipava.
On December 13, 2024, she was included in the list of citizens of Belarus, foreign citizens and stateless persons involved in extremist activities.
