Alena Latushka was detained on August 25, 2022. Her home was searched as part of a criminal case on ‘group actions grossly violating public order’ (Article 342 of the Criminal Code).

Latushka's husband is also a political prisoner, Anatol Latushka.

On 10 October 2022, the Centraĺny District Court of Minsk heard the case of a political prisoner. Judge Tatsiana Akavitaya sentenced Latushka to two and a half years of freedom restriction under home confinement.
