Volha Syravatka was detained on November 23, 2020 in the case of blocking railways and hanging police effigies. She was charged under Part 2 of Art. 339 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism).

Syravatka was convicted for hanging an effigy with a sign reading “OMON” (“riot police”) and breaking the glass in the premises of a police station.

On May 18, the Lieninski District Court of Brest sentenced her under Part 2 of Art. 339 of the Criminal Code to two years in a general-security penal colony.

The political prisoner served her sentence in full and was released on July 27, 2022.
