Volha Ramantsova was brutally detained on 4 October 2022, at her home. She was accused of insulting the judge (Article 391 of the Criminal Code) and was detained in a pre-trial detention center.

On 28 December 2022, a political prisoner was sentenced in the Saviecki District Court of Minsk. Judge Siarhei Shatsila sentenced the woman to two years of restricted freedom under home confinement and compensation of moral damages in the amount of 5,000 rubles (approx. $2,000).
