Volha Hladkaya is a former office manager of the Belarus 2 state-owned TV channel. She kept official records, followed up on contracts, etc. She resigned from the Belteleradio broadcasting company in September 2020 to try her hand at IT. However, her decision coincided with the mass protests against the falsified presidential election results and unprovoked violence by law enforcers. Many employees of the Belarusian state-owned TV channels protested and joined the strike.
According to the available information, the first interrogation of Volha Hladkaya was held on March 7, 2023. Two days later, she was charged under Article 342 of the Criminal Code ('Organisation of or active participation in actions grossly disrupting public order') for participation in unauthorized actions.
