Volha Tsybulskaya was remanded in pre-trial detention on February 10, 2022, as a defendant in a criminal case under Article 342 ('Group actions grossly disrupting public order'), and Article 369 ('Contempt of a government official') of the Criminal Code.
Later, Tsybulskaya was cleared of the charge under Art. 342, but Part 2 of Art. 130 ('Inciting hatred or enmity') was added.
On September 15, 2022, she was included in the 'List of persons involved in terrorist activities'.
On October 17, 2022, the Minsk City Court began the trial of the political prisoner's case. In early November, she was sentenced to two years and six months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
