Vital Barysevich was detained on November 24, 2021.
According to the law enforcement bodies, he allegedly took an active part in the riots in August last year, destroying property, erecting barricades and blocking traffic.
According to preliminary information, Vital is charged under Part 2 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code ("Participation in riots"). He was placed in a pre-trial detention center.
On 11 March 2022, the trial over Vital Barysevich started at Lieninski District Court of Minsk. Judge Tatsiana Shotsik found the political prisoner guilty and sentenced him to 6 years of imprisonment in a medium-security penal colony.
