Pro-government Telegram channels reported the detention of Vasil Shalkevich from Minsk on November 4, 2022. The reason for his arrest was his photos during the 2020 post-election protests posted on his Instagram page.
His case was considered on February 23, 2023 in the Pieršamajski District Court of Minsk. Judge Maksim Trusevich sentenced Vasil Shalkevich to two years and six months of restricted freedom under home confinement.
