Valeryi Ramanouski is the former head of the Air Intelligence Service. He was convicted under Article 356 of the Criminal Code (high treason). The case was considered in a closed court session by Judge Yauhen Burunou from March 28 to May 15, 2023.
In December 2022, the TV channel Belarus-1 released a film about the KGB counterintelligence, which told about Belarusians and citizens of other countries accused of working for foreign intelligence services. Valeryi Ramanouski was named in the film as "the former head of the Air Intelligence Service". According to the film, Ramanouski photographed service documents and transmitted information to the intelligence service of another country.
The place of detention is being clarified.
On June 2, 2023, Ramanouski was added to the list of Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens and stateless persons involved in extremist activities.
