Uladzislau Savitski is from Baranavičy, Brest region. He was arrested in mid-February 2023. He was charged under Article 368 ('Contempt of the President of Belarus') and Article 361-4 ('Assistance to extremist activities') of the Criminal Code.
The trial of Savitski began on May 25, 2023. It is known that he is accused of posting on Instagram a satirical video with Lukashenka in a female guise congratulating women on March 8—for that, he was accused of "publicly insulting Lukashenka" under Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code.
Besides, Uladzislau Savitski was accused of sending several videos and text messages to the chatbot of the Nexta Telegram channel (for example, videos of the Russian military planes and trains with soldiers). That was classified as "other assistance to extremist activities" under Part 1 of Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code.
