Uladzislau Papou was accused of taking photos and videos of military vehicles, equipment, personnel, and the military airfield in Babrujsk (Mahilioŭ region) on February 24 and 25, 2022.
On March 27, 2023, the Mahilioŭ Regional Court convicted him under Part 1 of Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code (Supporting extremist activities). Judge Alena Kartavenka sentenced Uladzislau Papou to 24 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
On April 28, 2023, he was included in the "List of Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens, and stateless persons involved in extremist activities".
