Uladzislau Hulis

Uladzislau Hulis is a 25-year-old car mechanic from Minsk. He was detained for painting on September 9 the phrase "We Will Not Forget" on the pavement near the memorial to killed protester Aliaksandr Taraikouski.

Uladzislau was charged under Part 2 of Art. 339 (hooliganism) and Part 2 of Art. 218 of the Criminal Code (intentional destruction or damage to property committed in a socially dangerous manner and causing damage on a large scale).

On December 8, the Frunzienski District Court of Minsk convicted Uladzislau Hulis of hooliganism under Part 2 of Article 339 of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 2 years in a maxium-security penal colony.

Hulis served his sentence in full and was released on October 20, 2022.
