Uladzislau Bahamolnikau is a lecturer at the Minsk Theological Academy and an Orthodox priest. In 2020, he held a memorial service at the so-called “Square of Change” for Roman Bandarenko. Bahamolnikau announced a hunger strike in support of the political prisoner Ihar Losik.

On August 31, 2022, he was detained by GUBOPiK ( the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption). Since then, he has been sentenced to seven (7) administrative imprisonments for forwarding news from "extremist resources" to his mother. The priest has been behind bars for more than 90 days. It is known that he went on a hunger strike in the detention center.

On December 19, 2022, the political prisoner was released with an obligation not to leave the country.
