Uladzislau Auchynnikau is a former employee of the Internal Affairs Department of the Viciebsk Regional Executive Committee. He was accused of collecting privacy and personal data from the Internal Ministry's databases and "distributing it in the Telegram messenger" in December 2021—May 2022.

In early December 2022, the Akciabrski District Court of Viciebsk  convicted Auchynnikau  according to Part 1 of Art. 352 ('Unauthorized acquisition of computer information') and Part 2 of Art. 424 ("Abuse of power or official authority') of the Criminal Code. The judge Sniazhana Kindzeyeva sentenced him to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment in a penal colony and a fine of 300 'basic values' (approx USD 3,600 as of December 2022).

In addition to the imprisonment and fine, Auchynnikau was banned from working in law enforcement agencies for 5 years.
