Uladzimir Sokal is a resident of Navajelnia (Dziatlava district) who was sentenced to two years of imprisonment under a criminal case under Articles 364 and 369 of the Criminal Code (Threatening a police officer with violence and publicly insulting him as a government official in connection with the performance of his official duties).

According to the indictment, in August 2020, in one of the Telegram chats, Sokal published messages insulting a police officer with threats to use violence against him.

The man was taken into custody in the courtroom after the verdict was pronounced on June 3, 2021.
