Uladzimir Hemza is from the city of Lida, Hrodna region.
He was arrested in January 2022, spent three months in a detention center in Hrodna, and then tried.
In April 2022, Uladzimir Hemza was sentenced to 24 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony under Part 1 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code ('Incitement of enmity or hatred') for his comments in Telegram chatrooms.
On June 17, 2022, the KGB included him in their 'List of persons involved in terrorist activities'.
