Uladzimir Hanusevich is a native of Homieĺ. He is a unit commander in a fire emergency and rescue brigade in the Frunzienski District of Minsk. He was arrested on February 7, 2023, in Minsk at his place of duty.

Hanusevich is accused under Article 342 of the Criminal Code ('Active participation in group actions grossly disrupting public order'). He was placed in remand prison #1 in Minsk.

On July 10, 2023, in the Frunzienski District Court of Minsk, Judge Yuliya Krepskaya sentenced the political prisoner to 12 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.

Hanusevich served his sentence in Prison No. 4, then he was transferred to penal colony No. 17 (in Škloŭ).

Hanusevich was released from prison on October 21, 2023.
