Uladzimir Branavitski

Uladzimir Branavitski, holds the sports title of Master of sports in powerlifting. He was detained on June 17, 2022. Uladzimir is accused of having hung ‘protest symbols’ on power lines in from January to June 2022. A criminal case was brought against him for hooliganism under Article 339 of the Criminal Code.

It is also known that Branavitski signed a letter to stop repression on behalf of the athletes at the end of August 2020.

On September 6, 2022, the Baranavičy District Court passed a verdict—Branavitski was found guilty and sentenced to 12 months of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
