In the evening of August 6, 2020, Tatsiana Kaneuskaya's house was searched, and in the morning security officers came to Kaneuskaya's house with a second search. The woman was arrested.
She was charged under Part 1 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code, "organization of riots."
On May 4, 2021, Judge Aliaksei Khlyshchankou of the Čyhunačny District Court of Homieĺ found the activist guilty under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code (participation in mass riots) and under Article 292 of the Criminal Code (seizure of buildings). Kaneuskaya was sentenced to 6 years in a general-security penal colony.
