Siarhei Zabelich is from Minsk. He graduated from the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics. According to Linkedin, he has worked as a programmer for at least twenty years. In September 2022, he moved from Nikta Technologies to Intrahealth, a HTP resident company working for the Canadian market.
Siarhei was detained on December 13, 2020, when people jointly went on yard marches. On that day, 300 individuals were detained.
He is charged under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 361-2 (financing extremist activities).
The trial began on April 2, 2024, at the Minsk Regional Court, with Judge Alena Kurhanava presiding.
