Siarhei Rymsha, a resident of Hrodna, was detained during a protest on August 9. According to the case file, he threw a stone at a police minibus. During the detention, he was beaten. Rymsha denied the fact that it was he who threw the stone into the van.
The trial lasted more than two months. On January 21, 2021, the Lieninski District Court of Hrodna sentenced Siarhei Rymsha to three and a half years in a general-security penal colony.
Siarhei was in Šklou prison No. 17. Since November 2021 he has been transferred to the prison regime for three years, which he serves in Žodzina prison No. 8.
